Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate are the baby growth percentile calculations?
Our percentile calculations use the official WHO and CDC growth standards data. The calculations are based on established medical formulas (LMS method) used by pediatricians worldwide. However, always consult your pediatrician for medical interpretation of your baby's growth.
Is my baby's data stored on your servers?
No. All calculations are performed entirely in your web browser, and your data is stored locally on your device using IndexedDB technology. We do not collect, store, or transmit your baby's measurements or any personal information to our servers.
Can I use these calculators offline?
Yes! Once you've visited our site, it becomes available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) that works offline. Your calculation history is stored locally, so you can access your baby's growth history even without an internet connection.
Which percentile is "normal" for my baby?
Percentiles between the 5th and 95th are generally considered within the normal, healthy range. What matters most is that your baby is growing consistently along their own growth curve. Your pediatrician can best interpret your baby's specific growth pattern.
How often should I track my baby's growth?
Most pediatricians recommend weighing and measuring babies at well-child visits, typically at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months during the first year, then annually after age 2. More frequent tracking may be recommended if there are growth concerns.
Can I share my calculator results with my doctor?
Yes! Each calculator has a "Share Results" button that creates a unique URL with your calculation encoded in it. You can also export your calculation history as CSV or JSON files from the history section.
